Red Chilli Rest Camp Location and Overview

Red Chilli Rest Camp is a budget safari accommodation facility located in Paraa region on the Southern bank of the Nile River in the heart of Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda’s largest National Park.

The position of the camp makes visits from wild game such as warthogs, elephants, giraffes, and hippos inevitable. The camp’s location offers a breath-taking view across some of Uganda’s notable natural attractions.

Red Chilli Rest Camp Facilities

Accommodation

Being a budget facility, the lodge’s accommodation is limited to bandas and safari tents. The bandas are comfortably furnished and they have ensuite bathroom facilities including hot water showers and flushing toilets. The bandas have a cooking area and a private balcony looking out to the pristine wilderness for each unit.

The safari tents are the alternative accommodation available. The tents have only the basic facilities and a common block with shared bathrooms and toilets. Paraffin lanterns are used for lighting the tents in the night. The lodge also has a camping site where travellers having their own camping equipment can set up their tents and spend their safari nights in the warm wilderness.

Restaurant and bar

Red Chilli Rest Camp has an on-site restaurant which serves continental and dishes served on guest preference. The restaurant is open from 6:30 am – 9:30 pm and the lodge’s well-trained staff are available to attend to the Beefs of the guests. Special dietary requirements are also considered when the chefs are informed in time.

The bar is fully stocked with an assortment of beverages and liquors. The bar is open until midnight and guess can order anything and drink it from any of the lodge’s appealing spots. Bonfires are lit every evening to give guests the ultimate African safari experience.

Solar power supply

To keep in perfect harmony with nature, the lodge runs on solar electricity. The bandas are fitted with solar bulbs, security lights, water heaters and power outlets to charge phones and other electronic devices.

Running water

The lodge has a supply of running water in all its facilities including both hot and cold water in the bathrooms. The bandas have solar water heaters for guests to have an adequate supply of hot water whenever they need it. Housekeeping and cleaning of rooms are regularly done by the lodge’s staff.
