Crater Safari Lodge Location & overview

Crater Safari Lodge is a luxury safari accommodation facility stationed on the banks of Nyinabulitwa Crater Lake and in close proximity with Kibale Forest National Park. The lodge has been recognised as one of the most environmentally sensitive safari lodges in Uganda.

The lodge comprises of 7 luxurious double/twin cottages and 2 larger cottages suitable for families and travellers moving in large groups. The cottages are spacious and uniquely furnished with ensuite bathroom facilities having a supply of both cold and hot water. The location of the lodge offers a spectacular view of the lake, the lush forest greenery as well as the fascinating landscape.

Crater Safari Lodge Facilities

Self-contained cottages

Crater Safari Lodge is a complex of 9 self-contained cottages, 2 of which are larger and double-bedroomed. All lodges are well furnished and have king-size beds, wooden floorboards, wardrobes, armchairs, and private balconies. The interior of the cottages is decorated with local and eco-friendly materials.

Restaurant, bar & lounge

Crater safari Hotel has an on-site restaurant where overnight guests have a free breakfast. The lodge’s professional chefs prepare local, continental and international dishes which are served on guest preference. Meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant, terrace, or bonfire in the nights.

Campfire area

The lodge has a campfire area where a bonfire is lit in the evening. The place offers a scenic view of the crater lake and performances by local entertainment groups can be enjoyed at the close of each one of your safari days.

Solar power supply

Crater Safari Lodge has a supply of solar electricity which provides light in all its accommodation facilities. Charging of phones and other gadgets is done using the power outlets stationed in various places. Hurricane lamps are available in the instance of a power shortage.

Running water

Crater Safari Lodge has a supply of running water in all its lodging facilities, both cold and hot water are available in the ensuite bathrooms. You can have a hot water bath whenever you feel like.
