Bush Lodge Location & overview

The Bush Lodge is a midrange – budget safari accommodation facility located just outside the boundaries of Queen Elizabeth National Park, overlooking the Kazinga channel. The lodge is located in a canopy of thickets off the main road and after Katunguru trading centre.

The lodge is comprised of 10 non-self-contained tents, 2 self-contained tents, 12 self-contained bands and a camping site. The lodge’s facilities were built using natural and eco-friendly materials. A safari holiday spent at the Bush Lodge is an opportunity to experience great tranquillity and enjoy clean-fresh air as opposed to the polluted gases, traffic and irritating noises which characterise urban life.

Accommodation

The Bush Lodge is comprised of 10 non-self contained tents each furnished with a comfortable bed, a bedside table and a power outlet to support phone and electronic device charging. The tents have a block with communal bathrooms and flushing toilets.

The lodge has 2 self-contained tents which are distanced from the main camp. The tents spacious, well furnished and have ensuite bathroom facilities, they are the most appropriate choice for families and groups.

The other accommodation option includes 12 self-contained bands which were built using natural and eco-friendly materials. The units are elegantly situated on a raised platform overlooking the seasonal Kamera river and each one of the units has a well-maintained terrace where guests can sit and unwind whilst enjoying the nature’s astounding beauty.

Restaurant and bar

The lodge’s restaurant is set in a massive tent which overlooks the Kazinga channel and has the distant Rwenzori Mountains forming a beautiful backdrop. All meals are prepared using quality ingredients and all special dietary requirements are taken care of by the lodge’s professional chefs. On warm evenings, the 4-course dinner is out in the open terrace

Camping area

Bush Lodge has a camping area where travellers with own camping equipment can set them up and enjoy the safari nights in the great outdoors. The nights are normally warm and filled with sounds made by the various wildlife in their habitats somewhere within Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Good power supply

The Bush Lodge has a supply of electricity in all its facilities. The rooms and tents have a good lighting system and power outlets to support charging of phones and other electronic devices. The lodge offers you comfort in the midst of an African jungle.

Running water

The lodge has a supply of running water in all its facilities including both hot and cold water in the bathrooms. Guests can have a warm water bath whenever they want especially on cold mornings.
