- Once you have encountered the mountain gorillas, the maximum time allowed to spend with the mountain gorillas is an hour. This is to avoid the mountain gorillas from feeling disturbed since they get agitated by prolonged human presence.
- After leaving the presence of mountain gorillas, keep you voice low until you are at least 200 meters away from them.
- If you are already at the park and you feel ill or are sure that you have caught a contagious disease, you need to stay behind. Another gorilla trek will be arranged for you, or you will be refunded your money as per gorilla reservation guidelines.
