Papaya Lake Lodge Location

Papaya Lake Lodge is located in the Great Crater Lakes area with about 20 extinct volcanic craters in the region.  The lodge is situated on an extinct volcano crater’s slope with breath-taking views of the Lyantonde lake, among other craters, the legendary Mountains of the Moon, the forests, the not so distant national parks and the massive flora and fauna.

The lodge is within a short driving distance with Kibale Forest National Park. The other relatively close parks include; Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Rwenzori Mountains National Park and Semuliki National Park.

Papaya Lake lodge Overview

Papaya Lake lodge is a luxury facility comprised of nine elegant cottages concealed from view by lush greenery and a canopy of trees. Eight of these cottages are self-contained and fully furnished state-of-the-art facilities, featuring two beds each – one king-size bed and one single bed.

The cottages have ensuite stone-decorated bathrooms with shower units and flush toilets. Each cottage has a private veranda and balcony with a set of inviting chairs. The lodge’s ninth facility is a two-floor villa comprised of three bedrooms, a spacious ensuite bathroom, a fireplace living room and a well-maintained terrace.
