13 Days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Tour is one of the most amazing safaris in Uganda for wildlife viewing. The 13 days trip is a private tour that can be undertaken by all kinds of travellers especially above the age of 15 since it’s the minimum age for gorilla trekking. The safari takes you on a visit to the parks of Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.
The highlight activities of this 13 days tour are gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, Rhino tracking as well as a visit to Lake Bunyonyi.
The trip starts and ends at Entebbe International Airport with a professional driver guide taking you through the safari.

13 Days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Tour – Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to hotel in Kampala
Upon you arrival through Entebbe International airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your overnight hotel in Entebbe in BB: Cape Diem Guest House. Dinner is not included
Note: You will quickly and easily identify the driver to welcome you. He will be holding a signpost with your names on it
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park en route Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Your safari in Uganda will begin with driving northwards to Murchison falls National Park. With a hot lunch en-route, prepare your selves for the breathtaking scenery and a short nature walk to the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Masindi. The guided nature walk in the sanctuary brings you up close with the endangered rhinos. In the evening arrive into the national park and transfer directly to your lodge for dinner and overnight at your accommodation preference.

Day 3: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise at Murchison Falls National Park
After an early morning breakfast, enjoy an early game drive and enjoy some of the vast array of game animals like giraffes, elephants and buffalo that roam the park. Return to Lodge for Lunch. In the afternoon take a Boat Launch upstream to the foot of the thundering Murchison Falls offering great photo opportunities of this marvel of nature. Also along the banks of the River you will be able to see animals like Hippos, crocodiles, and unique bird species for the avid Bird watchers.
Dinner and overnight as night before at Midrange: Pakuba Safari Lodge– Self Contained Cottage. Full Board
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After an early breakfast leave the national park and proceed in the direction of Fort Portal traversing along the Great Rift Valley and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges could be seen at a good range as you progress to Fort Portal town. Lunch en–route then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. Arrive at Kibale forest in the evening and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Drive time: 6 hours.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll have briefing session the park officials and later set off to the rainforest on the chimpanzee tracking adventures. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening, we organize the Bigodi swamp walk. Bigodi Swamp is popular with many swamp endemic birds like pelicans, herons, collared apallis, bee eater, Narina trogon, black capped apallis, yellow spotted nicator, blue headed sunbird, woodland warbler and more. The swamp is also a major livelihood for the local community through tourism and crafts.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as night before at Midrange: Kibale Forest Camp / Isunga Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, one of the largest parks and home to several species of mammals. Lunch and arrive in time for an evening game drive in the savannah with sights of Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, hyenas, stripped jackals, Hippopotamus, Kobs, Warthog and a variety of primates like Chimpanzee, olive baboon, red-tailed and vervet monkeys in the forests. Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice

Day 7: Game drive and boat cruise on the kazinga channel
After breakfast, drive towards Kasenyi and visit the crater lakes, Edwards and George which has been popularly marked as the mating ground for several antelopes, particularly for the Uganda kob. You maybe be lucky to also sight more wildlife that may include lions, buffaloes, elephants, and other animals. Head back to your lodge for lunch and then proceed on an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. Enjoy the rays of the setting sun on the launch cruise as you return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight as night before.

Midrange: Enganzi Lodge / Ihamba Safari Lodge
Day 8: Game drive in the ishasha sector
Breakfast in the morning and the holiday continues up towards the area farmed for the tree climbing lions. The Ishasha sector is part of the Queen Elizabeth park very popularly known for lions climbing up in trees. Lunch at lodge, and thereafter, a drive in search of some animals on this side including also the rare giant Antelopes called the Topis. Check in at the lodge for overnight and also dinner at Enjojo Lodge.
Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Take an early breakfast and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest park through, lunch at the lodge and check into your lodge for overnight and dinner. Some optional activities this evening near the forest: A visit to the indigenous tribe of the Batwa pygmies who leave closest to the forest. Accommodation options will depend on gorilla family allocation and accommodation availability:

Drive time: 3 hours.
Day 10: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing and by the mid morning, start your gorilla trekking expedition in the lush forest vegetation of Bwindi national park. It is quite strenuous and requires fitness through the long hours of anticipated gorilla tracking, sometimes taking 2-7 hours of trekking. Other sights on the trails may include monkeys, birds and several butterflies. Spend utmost one hour with the gorillas and then retire to your lodge happy to have made the trip. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as night before.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast at leisure, your journey proceeds to lakeBunyonyi, an area famed for her breathtaking beauty and scenic landscape. You will understand it with the beautiful islands that make up a spectacular view forming a small Switzerland in Uganda. Arrive in time for Lunch at the lodge in Lake Bunyonyi. By afternoon, spend time relaxing and enjoying the beauty of this place.
Dinner and overnight at Birdnest Resort – Lake Bunyonyi
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, have an afternoon boat cruise and an evening game drive
Early breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park check in at the lodge and lunch. Afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo. Evening game and night game drive in the park. Return at lush for Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge – up market upgrade. Full Board
Note: Transfer to Lake Mburo is about 3 hours’ drive on Tarmac roads and small portion of marram in the national park
Day 13: Morning game drive and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for a departure flight.
Early morning breakfast and a final game drive in the park, return to the lodge for relax and lunch. By late afternoon, start the drive back to Entebbe. Transfer to Entebbe for evening flight check in for night flights
Note: There is a stop at the Equator line for photos and a short break. The journey back to Entebbe airport will last about 4 hours. So you will depart this park after lunch
